In the past 10 years...
soaring costs of unemployment and worker's compensation,
health insurance and other employee benefits have
forced many companies to downsize. Many have added
job-sharing and more part-time employees to their
workforce because of the costs involved in hiring,
training and retaining full-time employees. It
is predicted that this will become a necessity
for many more companies in the next 10 years.
The concept of the home-based business or "cottage-industry"
has been accepted by businesses in increasing
numbers over the past few years. Experts project
that by the year 2010, approximately 1/3 or all
U.S. businesses will use the services of a home-based
business to save money and increase productivity.
